AI and specifically generative AI is here to stay, and the use will increase. As researchers we have an obligation to use generative AI responsibly and appropriately.

In the workshop you will be given practical guidance on the responsible use of generative AI. The topics to be covered are:

• A recap of the basics: definitions and concepts.
• The ethics of generative AI.
• The principles of responsible AI usage in the different phases of a research project:

• • Pre-research and design
  • Operations and data collection
  • Data measurement and analysis (qualitative and quantitative research)
  • Report writing and reporting
• How to work more effectively: AI tools for researchers.
