NETWORKING BREAKFAST
Local Connections, Global Insights
Date: Thursday, 19 March 2026
Event: 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Price: R250p/p
Venue: Rondebosch Sports Club (54 Park Rd)
Join us for breakfast with a view — mountains on one side, cricket field on the other — as the Cape Chapter comes together for a morning of real connection and fresh inspiration.
We’re mixing things up with a speed dating session designed to help you meet the faces behind the names in our community, before hearing firsthand from members of our MR community who’ve recently represented South Africa on the global stage. And as a special highlight, we’ll experience the double winner from ESOMAR Africa in Nairobi (Best Paper & Best Presentation). Good food, good people, and insights from near and far — this is one breakfast worth getting up for.
Guest Speaker: Kuhle Belu
Spent 17 years in the research industry across agency and client side, working in tobacco, retail, liquor, and food. She currently leads Snacks Insights at PepsiCo, where she’s been for the past four years. Kuhle is passionate about connecting with the next generation of researchers and watching the world of work evolve in real time. When she’s not doing that, you’ll find her deep in a current affairs rabbit hole, vibing to hip hop, or on a long coffee date with a view.
Guest Speaker: Tim Treagus
Founder and CEO of Yazi, an AI-powered research platform that conducts interviews and surveys directly in WhatsApp — using voice notes, video, and adaptive AI probing to get richer, more human responses. Tim has worked across both research services and product, with clients ranging from Ipsos and Capitec to Harvard Business School.
Guest Speaker: Catherine Burton
Global Equity Lead for Brand Health Tracking at Ipsos, where she specialises in brand equity measurement and consumer insights. With over 20 years in the industry and a BBusSci (Hons) in Marketing from UCT, Catherine brings deep expertise and a global perspective to the work.
This will be followed by a question-and-answer session so that we can also learn from each other by sharing experiences and an informal networking.
Please RSVP attendance by 12 March 2026.
We look forward to seeing you there!
